Your Team Responsibilities

We are seeking an Sales Analyst to join our Analytics Client Coverage team covering Hedge Funds and Broker Dealers in New York. In this role, you will be working very closely with our analytics coverage teams and key partners who are tasked with strategically developing and qualifying revenue opportunities within assigned accounts across our asset management segment. This is an exciting opportunity to generate and hunt for new business opportunities to fuel our growth across these segments. The ideal candidate will be passionate about finance and disruptive technology; have an eye for business and natural sales instincts; and be an eager, highly motivated, and tenacious self-starter.

Your Key Ressponsibilities

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Go-To-Market teams, including Marketing, Sales, and Product, to drive business growth.
  • Achieve Growth Targets: Meet quarterly goals for creating qualified business opportunities.
  • Proactive Lead Qualification: Identify and qualify new sales leads through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, and social media.
  • Strategic Account Planning: Develop and prioritize target account lists and detailed engagement strategies within your assigned territory
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients to understand their needs and present MSCI Analytics’ solutions effectively.
  • Product Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential buyside clients.
  • Salesforce Management: Manage and update Salesforce with accurate and timely information on sales activities and opportunities.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Go-To-Market teams, including Marketing, Sales, and Product, to drive business growth
  • Sales and Retention Targets: Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual team sales and retention targets.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Client-facing Experience: 2-5 years of experience in client-facing positions, preferably in the financial services or analytics/technology industry.
  • Market Understanding: Strong understanding of financial markets and investment management.
  • Communication and Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Sales Achievement: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Self-motivated: Goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Energetic and Proactive: A strong work ethic combined with an enthusiastic, proactive team approach.
  • Exceptional Skills: Proficiency in problem-solving, communication, organization, and time management.
  • Salesforce Proficiency: Experience working with Salesforce is required.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred, not required. Progress toward or interest in obtaining a CFA is strongly preferred
