Your Team Responsibilities

MSCI is seeking a dynamic leader to accelerate revenue growth of the Private Assets index franchise. This is a high-impact, externally visible role for a passionate evangelist with deep domain expertise, a proven record in business development, and a strong vision for delivering exceptional client and partner outcomes. As the Private Assets Index Distribution Lead, you will lead the commercialization of MSCI’s private assets index solutions globally. You’ll be responsible for engaging clients and distribution partners, shaping go-to-market strategy, and representing the MSCI index brand across the investment ecosystem. This role requires close collaboration across product, client coverage, and R&D teams to position MSCI as the industry standard for private assets indexing.

Your Key Ressponsibilities

  • Client & Partner Engagement: Champion the MSCI index brand by articulating its value to clients and partners across institutional and wealth markets. Represent MSCI at industry conferences, events, and client forums to elevate awareness and adoption.
  • Contract Negotiation: Identify the most high-value partners in the ecosystem and engage them in a collaborative partnership model that is beneficial to all parties.
  • Go-to-Market Leadership: Drive global go-to-market strategy and execution for private assets indexing, aligned with firmwide initiatives across asset classes and market segments.
  • Product Development: Define product vision and prioritize strategic roadmap based on client requirements and market observations.
  • Innovation & Influence: Lead innovation by fostering collaboration across clients, regions, and asset classes.
  • Internal Advocacy: Communicate regularly and clearly with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment, momentum, and sustained support for strategic initiatives.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • 10+ years of business development or commercial leadership experience in global, matrixed organizations—ideally as a transformational change agent.
  • Deep expertise in private assets and a strong understanding of index use cases across asset managers, asset owners, and service providers.
  • Proven success influencing clients across both institutional and wealth segments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills; confident public speaker with a strong industry presence.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and intellectually curious problem-solver with a growth mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA, CFA, or CAIA a plus).
