Your Team Responsibilities

The Team Lead for Workplace Technology (WPT), Americas will be responsible for managing, mentoring, and scaling a high-performing regional team supporting end-user technology services across MSCI’s Americas offices. The role will combine operational execution with strategic influence, ensuring technology service delivery aligns with business expectations and global IT standards.

This individual will serve as the primary point of leadership for operational engineering, user experience optimization, and AV infrastructure excellence in the region. In collaboration with global WPT and infrastructure partners, they will champion process standardization, service quality, and innovation to ensure an exceptional employee experience.

Your Key Ressponsibilities

Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end execution of WPT services across all AMER sites, ensuring alignment with MSCI’s global workplace technology strategy.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on end-user productivity, satisfaction, and experience.
  • Collaborate with global peers to standardize processes, implement best practices, and share operational learnings.

Team Management & Development

  • Supervise and mentor local engineering staff including OE analysts and AV engineers. Provide structured feedback and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture across geographically distributed teams.
  • Coordinate cross-training and knowledge sharing initiatives to ensure support redundancy and team resilience.

Workplace Technology Operations

  • Oversee ticket and incident resolution within SLA timelines using ServiceNow and other ITSM tools.
  • Ensure the reliable deployment and support of endpoint systems, collaboration tools (O365, Teams, Zoom), AV setups, and VPN connectivity.
  • Ensure compliance with company-wide asset management, software licensing, and data protection protocols.

Audio-Visual (AV) Engineering Oversight

  • Oversight of AV collaboration tools, conference room standards, and Teams Room setups.
  • Support planning and execution of complex AV-enabled events, including hybrid meetings, executive briefings, and client sessions.
  • Provide hands-on support or escalation guidance during high-impact AV scenarios.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Act as the liaison between end-users, regional business leads, and global WPT/OE/AV leadership.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to understand evolving requirements and align delivery to business priorities.
  • Represent the Americas WPT team in global coordination forums and technology initiatives.

Risk & Compliance Management

  • Ensure adherence to all operational policies, security protocols, and regulatory obligations.
  • Proactively identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of experience in end-user computing, desktop support, and/or AV technology, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of:
    • Windows 10/11, O365, Azure AD, Intune, Teams/Zoom
    • AV technologies (Crestron, Teams Rooms, streaming and conference room solutions)
    • ITSM systems (e.g., ServiceNow)
  • Excellent troubleshooting, incident management, and customer service skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, especially in a global matrix environment.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and manage regional service operations.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation tasks.
  • Exposure to Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Device-as-a-Service (DaaS) models.
  • ITIL or Microsoft certifications are a plus.
  • Experience in the financial services or investment industry is advantageous.
