Your Team Responsibilities

The Application Management team provides Tier 2 operational technical support to proprietary MSCI Risk and Portfolio Analytics Products; namely RiskManager, Managed Services, WealthBench, etc. and is responsible for the specification, delivery, stability, performance, and support for all hosted applications. Team works in strong collaboration with our Tier 1 technical services, operations, and client support teams as well as Infrastrucutre, Development, and Business teams to support and maintain client facing applications.

Your Key Ressponsibilities

  • Plan, specify, document and deploy financial software applications to our ASP on heterogeneous systems including both Windows and Linux
  • Collaborate with development and software testing teams throughout the release process.
  • Analyze release and deployment processes to identify key areas for automation and optimization.
  • Identify opportunities for optimizing system performance through changes in configuration or suggestions for development.
  • Coordinate and schedule work amongst team members
  • Provide metrics to highlight where and how time is spent

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • BS (Bachelor of Science in MIS, IT, Computers, or Electronics)
  • 1+ Years of experience in a related field 
  • SQL skills (SQL and/or ORACLE environments)
  • Experience in any of or combination of the following 
  • Creating product Non-Functional Requirements
  • Supporting production environments
  • Support activities with scripting tasks (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
  • Experience with Tomcat and/or Apache
  • Software development and/or support (JAVA/SCALA preferred, C# is OK)
  • Network and/or Application troubleshooting 
  • Windows and/or Linux support
  • Multi-talented person with proven troubleshooting skills and ability to work on multiple abstraction layers
  • Quick learner and team player
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
