Your Team Responsibilities

MSCI, INC. seeks Senior Associate, ESG Research Analyst in New York, NY to analyze, review, and publish ESG rating research reports for 40-50 companies per year, including industry or thematic reports focused on Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) risks and opportunities faced by companies within the Transportation sector.

Your Key Ressponsibilities

Demonstrate thought leadership in key ESG trends and issues that impact company coverage, including methodology maintenance and improvements, prepare and conduct regular presentations of ESG Research and trends to clients and prospects, with an emphasis on potentially financially relevant ESG issues faced by companies in the Transportation sector. Utilize software and technologies including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Power BI, Python using Jupyter notebooks, Salesforce. Utilize analytical techniques including financial statement analysis, financial modeling, data analysis, data visualization, analytical writing. Coding languages used: VBA, Python, DAX.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or related occupation: working with large datasets; analytical writing to translate industry developments and trends into research insights; conducting quantitative and qualitative research using third-party databases including Thomson Refinitiv and S&P Capital IQ; conducting industry and company analysis; utilizing analytical techniques including financial statement analysis, financial modeling, data analysis and visualization; analyzing key environmental, social and governance risks and opportunities across industries; using of tools and software including Microsoft Office, Power BI and Salesforce. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site. Offered salary is between $100,000 and $140,000 per year. 40 hours per week.
